Our story

We raise funds for brain cancer research through art and design as a tribute to Kate Johnson, a vibrant, creative young woman, who died at just 31 years of age from brain cancer.

Kate inspired us with her infectious zest for life and her generous spirit. She also inspired those she touched in her professional life in event and business management, both in Central Australia and Melbourne, Australia.

Diagnosed with a malignant astrocytoma in 2010, Kate faced brain cancer with grace, courage and determination and taught us much about cherishing the richness and beauty of life and embracing each day.

Her short life enriched the lives of many and her spirit lights our lives and inspires us to do what we can to lift awareness and raise funds, so that our brightest medical research scientists can drive innovative research and give hope to people with brain cancer.

Our hope for the future is for new advances in collaborative research to find a cure for brain cancer.

We need to change existing statistics in Australia

80% of brain cancer patients will die within 5 years of diagnosis.
These are grandparents, fathers, mothers, children, brothers, sisters, friends. Currently there is no cure.
Brain cancer survival rates haven't changed in 30 years.

Of all the cancers, brain cancer is the leading cause of death in our young Australians.

We need to increase survival rates and we want to achieve this through supporting vital research.

Your generosity today will enable the transforming research discoveries of tomorrow.
